Dean Judy Smith Scholarship

This scholarship is named for the former Associate Dean of Students, Judy Smith, who worked at MTSU for almost 30 years and remains an avid supporter today. The $500 scholarship is available only to students who are active participants in the following areas of campus life: social sorority or fraternity, cheerleading, Student Programming & Special Events, Student Government Association (executive, legislative, or judicial branch) or CUSTOMS (new student orientation).

Paul Cantrell Fraternal Excellence Scholarship

Paul Cantrell is an MTSU alumna and former Dean of Students. After his retirement, he enjoyed attending MTSU athletic events and was an avid sportsman. Most importantly, Paul believed in the power of Fraternity and in 2007 he endowed an Interfraternity Council scholarship for men who exemplified fraternal values while maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Amy Spain Memorial Scholarship

Amy Spain was an MTSU alumnus who was active in Alpha Delta Pi. After graduating MTSU she went on to graduate with honors from the University of Memphis with a law degree. She was an Assistant United Stated Attorney in Memphis when her life was tragically ended due to an automobile accident. Family and friends have established this scholarship to honor Amy Spain. This $1000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating MTSU Greek female planning to attend Law School.
